My daughter, Picasso (Picassa?); and Snot Sucker
My four-year-old amazes me with her creativity. She makes little "collage sculptures" out of scraps of paper. Her attention to detail in drawing is amazing. Today she was drawing a family of ducks, a mama duck and two babies. The babies, she said, were flying off to school for the first time. One duck was happily flying, looking forward literally and figuratively to school, while the other one had its head turned back to look at the mama. She had the head turned back to look at the mama! Her stick people stand up, lay down, sit on chairs with legs properly bent at the knees. I am fairly certain that when I was four, if I drew people sitting down, their legs stuck straight out in front of them.
The baby is better today, but still very snotty. I had to suck boogers out of her nose several times last night. I just love that little green snot-sucker. So does the baby, just like her sister did at that age. Snot sucker? Instrument of torture, it should be called.
