Yesterday? Piece of cake. Today? I WANT THAT CAKE!!!

HEAD. POUNDING. DETOXING. WANT. CARBS.

I could eat an entire loaf of bread.

I read today that complete detox can take five days, and the fourth day is the hardest. Heaven help me.

On a positive note, I went to the local community center and used a treadmill for the first time in my life. I used to go outside to walk, but now I know I'm meant to exercise on machines. Indoors, in temperature-controlled rooms, where I can watch TV without feeling like a couch potato. Plus I got to see my heart rate, how many miles I walked, my speed, and of most important...how many calories I burned.

Please step away from the cake. Dont you see the mold all over the bread? ewwww.
I like the indoor exercise things too, for that reason. You can actually SEE that you did something, because your pants are going to become looser overnight. Your on the right track! Keep it up!!

Super title to today's post...love it.

Every day can't be a cake walk..but every day you can walk/run/hop/skip/jump for joy that you are accomplishing your goal.

Go Girl!

Or as my Aunt says: Nothing tastes as good as fit looks...actually she says thin, but she comes from another era...

Good luck, hang in there, keep up with the veggies, and don't deprive yourself too much while nursing. You NEED extra calories to feed that other little person!

Thanks, "doc" ern ;)

I've decided to focus more on getting rid of the bad carbs, not so much on worrying about portion sizes, calories, etc. If I feel hungry, even if it's carbs trying to trick me, I'm going to have a snack, either protein or fruit. Once I've got the sugar out of my system, I think it will be a little easier to worry about portion sizes in a few months when the baby's a little bigger (and eating solid food herself!)

Andrea, I'm here to support you. If you'd like, you can eat vicariously through me. I'm willing to make that sacrifice for you. Want bread? A mouthful of Hershey's syrup? You just let me know.
