Long time coming

(A few of you may have already received this in an e-mail from me, but I couldn't resist posting it here. GO COLTS!!!)

Tom Brady, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God showed him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Patriots flag in the window.
"This house is yours for eternity, Tom," God said. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."

Brady felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the sidewalk, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a blue and white sidewalk and a 50-foot-tall flagpole with an enormous Colts logo flag. A Colts towel hung in every window.

Brady looked at God and said, "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, won the Super Bowl three times and I even went to the Hall of Fame."

"So what's your point, Tom?" God asked.

"Well," Brady said, "why does Peyton Manning get a better house than me?" God chuckled. "Tom, that's not Peyton's house," he said. "It's mine."

Our youth director at church and her husband are expecting their first child ANY DAY NOW. Her husband works in food service, and one of his jobs is feeding the Colts.
Feeding. The. Colts.
This means going places with the team. When they go. Where they go. Celebrating. Enjoying.
MISSING THE SUPER BOWL?
MISSING THE BIRTH OF THEIR FIRST CHILD?
You have to feel for the poor guy.

I never got a chance to come and visit you until today--CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby too! My little girl (4 weeks old tomorrow) just had a checkup this morning and she's doing fine--a good strong 10 pounds now and such a sweetie!

FYI--I haven't shaved my legs in a very long time--first because I couldn't see my legs, now because it takes TIME to do something like that! (yes, I came here through Susie)

Follow-up, just in case you wondered. Baby Caleb was born on thursday. Youth-director-hubby leaves Tuesday for an all-expense paid trip to the Super Bowl with "his" team. New mom's mom is there taking care and helping out. All is well. Dad did NOT miss birth of first child.
