I'm totally going into "Lost" withdrawal already.

No new episodes until *February*!!!

I thought I'd get a little fix by watching my downloads of season one, which I realized I did manage to save to disc.

Bad news. The type of disc I saved to does not work in my DVD player.

OK, no problem. I'll just pop it in the disc drive of my laptop and watch it that way.

Only if I want to watch a poor quality recording that skips and jumps. The dialog is so far off the video that it's like watching a poorly- dubbed Godzilla movie.

I just checked Amazon, and it's possible to buy a gently used ORIGINAL copy (which would include special features) for less than I payed to download the entire season.

I won't be downloading entire seasons anymore. and since I can watch recent episodes on cbs.com, I doubt I will be buying single episodes either.

I may have to try on Leo's computer in the basement. It could be just a lousy disc drive...
