Postscript re: the Tooth Fairy and missing tooth

When the Tooth Fairy decided to risk it and leave Audrey some money last night, she found a crayoned note under the pillow. It said:
Dear Tooth Fairy, I can not find my tooth that I lost. your friend, Audrey
The TF was, of course, touched and left an extra quarter in interest since she had been late the night before. TF left her own note that read:
Dear Audrey, that's OK...you can just take the money this time, and leave me the tooth when you find it. Love, the Tooth Fairy
This way, it's no big deal if we still find the tooth laying around! The jig is not yet up.

I'm so glad the jig is not up for you!

For Hunter- another story. He's had the lost lost tooth, and its been ok, TF still came.

His last tooth? He told me if there really is a TF she'll find the tooth where he hid it, and leave it for him under his pillow. This was about 3 months ago.

I found the envelope UNDER MY MATTRESS a few days ago, also with a note on the envelope: Dear tf, I really want to meet you. Love, Hunter.

So, I wrote back: Dear Hunter, I'd really like to meet you too. Love TF.

I left an entire dollar. Talk about guilt.

He found it and was not happy. I tried to make it not my handwriting, that part worked. The problem? I have pens that are only mine. They cost too much to be 'general' pens. But I have to have this particular pen, in blue, because of the comfort level with taking notes for 3 hours in class and how easily it glides across the paper.

Hunter comes to me, and says: Mom, this is your pen. Doesn't the TF have her own pen?

Oh boy! The PEN! I should have used a different one.

Yay you're back!

The tooth fairy blew it again at our house.

I swear I am THEE worst tooth fairy EVER. I mean, if I were a tooth fairy , but i'm not. nope. there is a tooth fairy and she must not be strong enough to lift my daughter's head up because her noggin is so thick...unable to leave any money at all.

She must have got back up the second night though.

I'm laughing at Kristines comment! I've missed so many 'first' nights of TF that one time Brennen was left 5.00, because that was the lowest dollar amount I had, and it was like 2 weeks of him waiting for TF.

Geesh.
