Just a prediction

I think I'm going to go early again with this baby.

I'm just afraid it might be TOO early. I've been feeling very weird the last few days, lots of strong Braxton Hicks contractions (at least, I hope they are just Braxton Hicks...none of them are truly painful, but lots of them have been quite uncomfortable...like the one I had *just now*). It even feels like the baby might have dropped already, which is way early for a third pregnancy.

While the thought of being "unpregnant" is very appealing right now, I'd really like to make it through Christmas. I'm pretty sure that, while it would still be early, it would still be fine for a homebirth.

Now would definitely not be good. While the chances of survival for the baby are quite good by now, it would hardly be an ideal way for my last birth to go. It would have to be in the hospital, for one, and a NICU stay for the baby would be quite likely.

I was feeling so worried this morning that I actually went online to order the birth kit, but then I realized if the baby came this early, or even five days from now, the earliest the kit might get here, why would we need the birth kit when we'd be in the hospital?

December 26, Baby. Just hang in there until then.
