Never realized I'd gotten so attached to him
Breaking news: Yellow Wiggle Greg Page is leaving the Wiggles due to health issues.
Laugh at me if you must. But once you've become a parent, it quickly becomes obvious that you must find the children's music and characters that you can tolerate and expose your kids to no other. The Wiggles are tolerable for me (better than Barney, way better than Doodlebops!).
Greg seemed to be the "lead singer" for the Wiggles, so even though he is being replaced by some guy named Sam, his loss will be felt.
I haven't felt this bad about losing someone in kids media since Steve left Blue's Clues. (And don'tcha know, his replacement quickly turned me off of Blue's Clues. Good thing Audrey was already starting to lose interest about that time.)
Update: I just got done watching Greg's "goodbye video clip" in which he officially hands over the "yellow skivvy" to Sam, and I have to say that at least Sam looks up for the part. (Translation: Sam is CUTE!)

Ok. I wandered over here from Kristines and your post made me smile. I so missed Steve when he left. Cannot stand JOe.
sorry to hear about Greg. I really liked him too. Loved his voice.
I know how you feel. My boys are sad that Greg is leaving the Wiggles, but I'm even more sad. I cried when I watched him pass on his yellow skivvy to Sam. We wish him the best.
