Major changes at our house!
Remember when I said I would homeschool Audrey if Leo's parents could come?
Well, they are! And I am!
They will arrive September 6.
Local schools start TOMORROW.
I ordered a full curriculum from here, like, two weeks ago. Fed Ex sucks. Several different shipping snafus, including the wrong state in the address, and two wrong zip codes. Two boxes, two different tracking numbers. I watched the one tracking number I had go to Kentucky, then a couple of hours north of us, then down to Indianapolis...and then all the way up north to GARY, INDIANA, near Chicago. WAY far away from us. So I called Fed Ex and the curriculum company and that box arrived today. When I opened it I realized there must be a second box, because there were only math manipulatives, a box of science stuff, a cool wall map, and a couple of binders. No books (and Sonlight is famous for their BOOKS. LOTS of them. It's one reason I'm crazy about this curriculum). So I quickly dispatched another call to Sonlight, who promptly got on Fed Ex's case, and discovered the other box was in Ohio.
*sigh*
Ok. It could still get here tomorrow. But I won't be doing anything from it, because seriously, I have to go through it first!
Anyway, tomorrow is Tuesday, and Leo has promised to give me Tuesdays so I can continue going to MOPS, and he will do math and Chinese with Audrey. So that's what will happen tomorrow.
It's a bit anticlimactic to start our first year of homeschooling this way. But I'm excited anyway!

Sounds exciting! I know some parents that home school and they love it. I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful experience and Audrey is going to benefit so much from it.
Hey there, Mrs. Major Changes, you'd better give your kid a study hall or something so you can blog!!!! I miss you and might actually have to CALL you to find out how you are...
