Stuff portrait Friday: Creativity, Tools, and GETRIDOFIT. PLUS: a bonus first-day-of-school picture
(Stuff Portrait Friday brought to you by Random and Odd.)
The themes for this week: something I made myself, the tools of my hobby, and something I want to give away.

I realized this is good timing, because I haven't posted any more of my beading since Audrey's birthday necklace. I made these two bracelets as a set; the beads on each one are quite different (lampwork on one, cane glass on the other), but I like the way they look together.

Tools, tools...lots of tools. OK, these aren't all TOOLS, but these are all necessary or at least desirable for creating beaded jewelry. In this photo are wire clippers, flat-nosed pliers, crimping pliers, and round-nosed pliers.

Inspiration and perspiration: one of the many books I've been collecting, and a couple of works in progress.

Stringing supplies, findings, goggles (to protect my eyes from cut wire, though I haven't needed them yet), and a measuring tape.

The whole kit and caboodle.

I want to get rid of this crate of books that has been sitting on my kitchen table for the past month. Leo went through a bunch of his old textbooks and decluttered them, and has told me he will pay me to go online and find out what they are worth used so we can claim them as a deduction if we donate them to the library. I just have not had a chance. Maybe soon...
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL BONUS!

I will cherish this picture forever. The pride in her one-of-a-kind bookbag that she helped create. The sweetness in her eyes. The anxiety as she tries to smile.
Where have the years gone already? All I did was blink, and she changed from a tiny infant to this big five-year-old girl.

i love your jewelery as well! very fun and unique pieces!
Cool photos. And the one of Audrey made me tear up. That one picture says so much! I hope school is going well for her.
Oh, tears and goosebumps. Good ones, that is. She is exquisite. God bless her in school and everywhere. The cheeks; they get me. Baby cheeks on a big school girl. So beautiful.
I love homemade beadwork. And Audrey is absolutely precious!
Oh how sweet! She is so grown up now! I can't believe it! I hope she stays interested in school and they can find a way to challenge her. We are waiting and hoping Keithen stays engaged until 2nd grade when we can get him into a gifted program too. He really needs the work on his handwriting practice that they are doing in 1st grade now. That is his weakest point and I've already seen him improve in the month he's been in school. (Even though it's obvious he still HATES his writing practice homework.)
Well HELLO Carissa! Another person from real life found her way here (though I'm not concerned about you, since I first "met" you online anyway :) ) Welcome, and come back anytime.
U R SO NICE
THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD. WOW. R U GUYZ PROUD GROWN UPS. MAN, I WISH I KNEW YA SECRETS.
